Hijabi Nation: Malcolm & Sharjeel
A lot of people do not know this but the truth is that hijab is not only for women. Men are also commanded by Allah SWT to dress modestly and to lower their gaze. Allah requires that males cover themselves from their belly button to below the knee. Although not a requirement, many Muslim men wear the kufi and other hats as a way to show that they are Muslim.

Fall Color Trends
This Fall, earth tone colors are definitely the way to go. Deep burgandys and yellows are soft colors that remind you of autumn in every way. Fall colors are one of my favorite seasonal colors because they compliment the skin so well. Rich purples, olive tones, and classic beiges are beautiful this season so when you are out and about at your local mall, keep a look out for these colors!

Hijabi Nation: Alex
Alex is a seventeen year old college student. As a new convert to Islam, dressing modestly could have been a challenge to her, but with all the wonderful style options, the transition has gone as smoothly as possible.
Abayas can easily made stylish. Dress them up
with cute flats or even heels and you've got a bangin' combination: a
modest and fabulous look.
Attempt to step outside of your
comfort zone with the colors you
choose to wear on a daily bases.
Sometimes we may become attached
to one color; but colors may be
all we need to "up" our style.
Here Alex is wearing the purple maxi I wore in one of the photos
in the hijabstyle collage. This photo just proves that maxi dresses
can be worn in so many different ways.
What do you think of Alex's Style? Comment/discuss
the style options you saw here on Beauty of Islam!

Hijab Style Feature
I'm soooo excited to be featured on one of my favorite blogs hijabstyle. I'm still relatively new to the hijab style world but I hope I can have given you a different perspective on how to wear your hijab :)
Hijab Style Obsession: Lace it up
For the longest time i've been looking for lace underscarves and guess what I FINALLY GOT THEM. My lovely aunt somehow read my mind and sent them from Sudan for me. They're absolutely gorgeous and a great way to make your pashmina look a little bit more exciting.
A couple examples of how you should be wearin' your lace
A couple examples of how you should be wearin' your lace
If your gonna wear lace underneath your hijab, than this is definitely the way to do it. Talitha Faqia is setting trends by showing that the styles hijab can be worn in are endless. Follow her blog non-sugar banana |
Wear your lace underscarf as low as you would like. I personally like it a little bit higher above my eye brows. |
Lace underscaves create a very put together look when the hijab is wrapped in the traditional way. What do you think about wearing a lace headband underneath your scarf? |

Happy Happy Happy Happy Eid
Eid Mubarak to all my fellow Muslim brothers and sisters around the world! I hope everyone is enjoying the celebrations and festivities. Although i'm sitting in my dorm room right now at school instead of being at home with my family like all my friends I still feel rather content. I could let myself get all depressed and feel sorry for myself, buuuut I'm not. I'm taking my situation right now as an opportunity to be patient. Some people don't even have a family to go home to for eid. At least I can say that after i'm done with my classes today, I have a wonderful family that is going to come pick me up. Alhamdulilah! Allah truly is the greatest. He never presents us with a trial that we can not handle. Through patience and much duaa, we can overcome any of our struggles. So now, I plan on going to three more classes with a smile on my face not allowing the whispers of the shaytan to make me feel bad about my eid not being adequate enough. I control how happy I feel about my Eid, no one else but me :)
On a side note...If I could be ANYWHERE in the world right now it would be here, SubhanAllah
Every Eid is a special time to spend with your family and friends, but this Eid look your best. Check out this maxi dress outfit i created, which is perfect for a summer eid :)
